Construction & Configuration
Layered Telecom Cable construction including copper conductors, HDPE insulation, filling compound, aluminium tape and outer jacket components.
Copper Conductor
Copper conductor forms the center of each twisted telephone pair across all four supplier-listed constructions.
HDPE Insulation
HDPE insulation surrounds each conductor in the supplier construction drawings.
Co-Polyester Aluminium Tape
A co-polyester coated aluminium tape shield is applied over the cable core in all four constructions.
Filling Compound
Petroleum-based filling compound is applied within the cable core of the HYAT and HYAT53 jelly-filled constructions.
Water Blocking Swellable Tape (Optional)
An optional water-blocking swellable tape is listed for the HYAT and HYAT53 constructions.
Corrugated Steel Armor Tape
A corrugated steel tape armor layer is added between the inner and outer LDPE jackets in the HYAT53 construction.
LDPE Jacket / Messenger Wire
An LDPE jacket completes the HYA, HYAC and HYAT constructions; the HYAC variant adds a galvanized steel messenger wire, and the HYAT53 variant uses inner and outer LDPE jackets.
