Fiber Optic Cables
Unitube Light-Armored Cable (GYXTW)
Outdoor unitube fiber optic cable with PSP tape and dual steel wire reinforcement in a PE sheath, for 2 to 48 fiber counts.

Key Features
Core construction, reinforcement and fiber compatibility of our outdoor unitube armored cable.
Unitube Loose Tube Design
250μm fibers sit in a high-modulus plastic loose tube filled with water-resistant compound for critical fiber protection.
PSP Armor Tape
A double-sided plastic-coated steel tape (PSP) is wrapped longitudinally for crush resistance and a continuous moisture barrier.
Dual Parallel Steel Wires
Two parallel steel wires reinforce tensile strength alongside the PE sheath, without a full armor layer.
PE Outer Sheath
A polyethylene outer sheath provides weather and UV resistance for long-term outdoor installation.

Construction & Configuration
Layer-by-layer breakdown matching the fiber, tube, steel wire and sheath structure.
Fiber — 250μm in Loose Tube
250μm fibers are positioned in a loose tube made of high-modulus plastic.
Tube Filling Compound
The loose tube is filled with a water-resistant compound for critical fiber protection.
Steel Wire (×2) — Parallel Strength Members
Two parallel steel wires are placed on either side of the steel tape to reinforce tensile strength.
Water-Blocking Material
Water-blocking material between the PSP and the loose tube keeps the cable compact and watertight.
PSP — Plastic-Coated Steel Tape
A double-sided plastic-coated steel tape is wrapped longitudinally around the tube for crush resistance.
PE Sheath
A polyethylene sheath completes the cable, sized for small diameter and light weight.
Standards & Test Documentation
Design standard, fiber compatibility and environmental temperature ratings.
YD/T 769-2003
GYXTW complies with the YD/T 769-2003 standard for outdoor unitube light-armored optical cables.
