SG Three-Phase Isolation Transformer
A grounded secondary makes electrical faults dangerous — touch a live conductor and the ground path completes the circuit through whoever’s standing on it. Floating the secondary changes that: with an electrically isolated, ungrounded output, a single fault to earth on smaller, shorter circuits produces a ground-capacitance leakage current too small to injure a person, which is why isolation transformers configured this way are a standard safety measure in locations where accidental contact carries real consequences. The SG series is built around that isolation, holding voltage precision to ±1% with no added waveform distortion relative to the input, insulation resistance rated above 150MΩ, and dielectric strength tested at 3000VAC for one minute. It ships with enough winding and voltage flexibility — Y/Yyn0, D,y1, or D,d0 connections, input from 220V up to 660V, and output options spanning 110V to 1140V — to match a specific site’s supply and load rather than a single fixed configuration. A cold-rolled silicon steel core keeps losses low and heat manageable, and the range runs from a 3KVA bench unit to a 1000KVA custom-engineered build.
